If they increase the sig size limit the likelihood of seeing annoying .gifs and larger pics increases significantly. Granted you can always turn sig's off and not view them, but personally I'm pleased sig's are restricted here as it greatly enhances forum readability.

The dimensions are already constrained to 100 x 500, so if those are kept in place, it is unlikely that they would become ostentatious. The problem that I am encountering is that a 100 x 500 jpeg is 48kb, and I don't have the option to host it myself.
