Not really a music video, but I found it funny. Someone edited church folk to some D&B.

I don't know what youir listening to these vids on, but if ur one of those navy guys that shipped home a nice stereo from overseas, check out this concert. Excellent acoustics and well mixed audio.
It's mellow, but still rocks. Nice steel guitar, Mark has an Eagles/celtic sound this night.

Sometimes this place just astounds me. Thanks a lot Keefer, right for the mind and right on time. Sweet & Clean work.
Un-freakin believable. The video below is one of the ones I use to drain the noise from my head as I prepare to revive my Soul. A little long, but by the time I get to the end I'm ready.
I'm no where near being a practicing existentialist like you ( but I have enjoyed your 101 thread), I just need some deep meditation from time to time, like tonight.
The events of this last week have really sucked the energy out of my closest friends. Which puts a major draw down on my own energy. A group of doctors abandoning about five years worth of effort towards a doctor owned hospital.
A stark statement from one - “ I have to throw in the towel, but from what I see coming, we're going to need a lot of towels to cry in so I better hang on to it."
Do you ever have one of those moments when it just seems like your on the wrong hill and the boulder you're rollin' ain't yours either.
Anyway, just thought I'd check the music section for some relief. Gettin' more than I expected.
Thanks again Keefer, I'm in a much better frame already.
I don't know who has the most eclectic taste in music here but it must be You, Searcher or Brio.
Then again it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of the regulars here are all musicians.
It goes with the live free mindset.

Sorry to hear about the rough week. I can't imagine your freind's dissapointment after all their hard work and dedication.
But what you might have felt tonight I would call the 'goodness of life'. Just remember that you need to give it away in order to keep it. The more that you can pass on, the more will flow back into your own little spiritual/mental/emotional oasis.
You know where I really learned to meditate? In a graveyard. No lie.
I was still in college, having a week quite similar to yours. I took a bike ride out to the most peaceful setting I could find, a local cemetary.
As soon as I passed through the gilded gate something came over me. Why worry now? All the traffic on the street rushing by all of a sudden seemed like a joke. It was like being in the eye of a storm, a tiny retreat of perfect peace. Every tombstone in that setting was at rest, no worries mate.
The thing about my view of existentialism is that there are no boundries. You just tap into whatever it is that gives us life and travel down that river with the current.
Best buzz I ever found.
I wanted to insert this clip at the end of the Existential 101 thread, but then I realized that thread has no ending.
Just different characters that come and go.

Even better... and a great take on an old blues standard...
Here's Muddy Waters with the first recording of it...
And Willie Dixon,who wrote it...
All great versions, but Foghat really went outside the box and did an amazing job making it their own.

Heard this on the way home tonight and had to look it up - great lyrics....
That's excellent, Dan.
Lately, I have been mixing my own music, even have all the master voices from Dark Side of the Moon. The soft voices you can barely hear on most sound systems.
"So, like, if you give them a short, sharp, shuck, they don't do it again. Dig it? He got off light cuz I could have given him a fracture. You know, I only hit him once. There is only a difference in right and wrong, isn't it? I mean good manners don't cost nothing, do they?"
"There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact, it's all dark."
For the first time I hear every word on that album. My only worthwhile goal in this life, achived.
But here is a good base for mixing a nature relaxation track, should you be in the mood for it.
I should learn how to download my music mixes to this fourm.
It might inspire others to pursue
a very worthwhile hobby.
