    I think $18 will hold, but one never really knows. A huge stock market correction could bring us back to levels in the low teens. jmho, but this is when a good swap of metals could be made. ALWAYS have some cash at hand

    It is nearing time to turn lose of the paper price of silver and gold. If you want to buy real silver you will pay 4 or 5 dollars more an ounce than you will for paper silver.

    What are they going to give you when you try to cash in your paper silver? If your lucky you will get FRNs if your not lucky you will get MFGlobaled.

    In the "fools rush in where wise men fear to tread" department, I will hazard a guess that the $22.03 low earlier today may be the bottom of this correction, and the next wave higher could begin today. That $22.03 is an almost perfect double bottom with the spike low from a month ago, and it could form a base that is capable of launching higher price action. Sorry for the weasel words "may" and "could", but that is the best I can do for now. Someday I hope to graduate to the advanced level of the lunatics here who can howl at the moon many times a day without actually saying anything that could be remotely proven wrong by future price action.

    If my Wild A$$ Guess about this is incorrect and prices drop further, please don't feel any need to tell me about my error. I will feel it in my accounts, because I am betting my funds where my mouth is.

    I spent the better part of the night checking all my charts and projections, best I can figure is the bottom is under 25 bucks and its time to back up the bus.

    I said 14-17. I think 18-21 is too close to the current price. It doesn't really matter to me, I don't have anything to sell. I went boating last week.

    QWAK,andial,In the fullness of time I agree with you 100%!

    I have been buying as I could all the way down from $40.00 and got some more yesterday!

    When it all finely caves in all that will matter is --- do YOU have GOLD and SILVER or NOT!

    Just KEEP STACKING knowing that one day you will be a happy camper and that people who don't have GOLD and SILVER will be in FEMA camps IF they manage to survive at all.

    What kind of silver? Paper or physical? How can we vote in a poll that doesn't define the commodity?

    Physical price varies greatly from LCS to LCS to online. Depends on how much you buy and the type of silver you buy. Also depends what part of the world you are in. That should answer your question.

    Now if you don't want to vote don't. No one is forcing you.

    QWAK,It is easy to get confused especialy for newbes --- both FEAR and GREED need to be eliminated from the EQUASION to see the TRUTH!

    Owning physical GOLD and SILVER is just basic historic SAVING for ones future needs --- it is not and should not be about geting RICH.

    Both FEAR and GREED are the motavators the BANKERS have used to BLIND the PUBLIC and take UNFARE ADVANTAGE and have exploited and confused people to the point they actualy believe that DIGITS in a computer are or can actualy be MONEY!

    Keep it SIMPLE --- don't get confused!

    Not crazy at all. Real, physical silver is actually worth more than paper silver. You see, there are limits to how much real silver you can get out of the ground and how much it costs to produce and refine. The "spot" price you see in the Kitco ticker is the price of paper silver. There are no limits on how much paper silver can be issued.

    Are metal prices at or near the bottom? I dunno, but 17 minutes of research indicates to me the following:
    -Charts say no;
    -Ouija Board says yes;
    -Crystal ball says no;
    -Flip of a coin says yes.

    "Sell in May and go away" is not working, so I suggest keeping some powder dry if you are currently trying to catch a falling knife. Seriously considered making a purchase today, but decided against it. NOT TRADING ADVICE!!!

    Good luck out there folks.

    That's why I use my Magic 8 Ball. I asked it "Has the price of silver hit bottom?", and it replied "Outlook not so good". When I asked "Are you sure?", the response was "Signs point to yes." Now that's some information you can bank on!

    The dollar is "strong" until that moment when the shades are lifted from people's eyes and they see the truth. Poof, as the value of the dollar crashes. It is an enigma that the dollar is strong.

    The banking cartel has been getting much support from their internet assets in this drop. There is no telling where paper silver will go.

    That is the sound of physical falling as well my friend. Tulving hasn't changed his premiums in the past 2 hours. $3.49 over spot for Eagles. That is less than $25 dollars an Eagle delivered right into your hot little hands.

    Hoarder take a peek at some of the big online dealers. You can actually buy physical close to these prices too. It might be hard to believe, but it's there if you want it. You'll be amazed at all the different variations too, big small, it's all there.

    They're hedged. Hedging is the glue that binds paper silver to physical silver.

    Agree with G3: $22 Ag has been breached, which means $19.XX is in the cards this week or soon. When gold breaches $1320, $12XX is in play in a hurry. It may be a long summer folks, so keep your powder dry, at least some of it. Good luck out there folks!

    Nonsense. Lots of smaller dealers don't hedge. When paper metals take a manipulated dip, they simply don't sell their physical inventory. Hedging circumvents the law of supply and demand. If no dealers hedged, divergence would have weakened the manipulators hands.

    Yeah I agree regarding the smaller dealers. One LCS/pawn shop told me he had gold and silver but had too much invested in them that he couldn't sell them at a loss. I told him I understood and had no hard feelings. Mom and Pop places aren't just going to sell at a loss to sell. They will just keep it in the back room safe and wait for the price to go backup.

    One of these days those same dealers will end up stuck with inventory for a very long time...

    LOL... only if they are stoooopid!.... What ya do is get on the phone and replace inventory as you sell it and you charge cost + your premium! Wala hedged?! Get it? LOL

    Stock metal is just a float!!!!!

    If you want to get even fancier you run inventory down on price rises and up on falls.

    ?

    Its simple!
    Technical Analysis is a part of a market doctrine that accepts a high level of failure and incorporates loss prevention and risk control strategies to deal with that reality. If you do not understand what those strategies are, how to implement them and the probability of success involved in any given technical analysis setup THEN you should not treat the information given as any basis for decision making.

    That's great when it works. When I was buying my hoard, I learned that when I called a dealer and he said "I can get it", he was wasting my time. "I can get it" means too expensive. Stock metal was all I bought.
    In these times I don't think it's that easy for dealers to replace inventory on demand at wholesale prices.

    Only a month away from the 12 month mark of when this poll was created. Looks like those who said $18-21 could very well be correct unless something happens in the next 4 weeks. Interesting to read some of these old comments. Especially the ones about a dealer who is no longer in business.

    I guess Gcubed, Chamberpot, Savvydon and Zed voted the low numbers in this poll. They'll be back here for the next big orchestrated beatdown.

    Even if silver bottomed out at even 17 or 18 worst case scenario which i don't think it will reach before it starts an upward rally, i still think now is a great time to buy and a lot of opportunity is to be had in both silver and gold. I explain my thinking more in this video.(Keep in mind i posted this about 2 weeks ago!)

    silver looks pretty darn weak now.
    As much as I don't want to say it, we may be breaking through support in the $18.xx area soon. If that happens, there's no telling how low it will go. It could potentially be a free-for-all panic like silver had in 2008.
    I'll be watching it closely when/if we got below $19, which looks like it will happen this week.

    This is too true. I was in the local pawn shop on Thursday where I am a regular and asked if they was any Ag to be had. Owner told me there is a roll of Maples, but they bought they way too high to sell now. I offered $5.00 per coin above spot and was told, "I would lose money on that." On my way out the door, I told the owner that if they decide to sell for $5.00 per coin above spot, just call me. I expect that phone call within a month or two as the business slows during the warmer months.
