Default I don't know where to post: too many sub and sub-sub forums....

I'm a little frustrated that there are SO MANY forums/sub forums/sub-sub forums on this site that I'm completely and totally confused as to where the masses meet to discuss gold and silver.

I usually only post to ONE forum, so where on this forum can I get the most bang for my buck? Can someone help me?

26 Sub-Forums on this site and a lot more sub-sub-forums.

    HELP!!!

PS I may not even find this post again because this site is a labyrinth.
    flacon,

    Welcome to the site.

Each member has their own style of navigating the site. We get requests all the time for more forums and subforums.

What I do is when I post a new thread, I try to post it in the forum or subforum which seems to be the best fit.

What I do when "surfing" the site for interesting stuff to read (and possible conversations to join) is to just click "New Posts" and see a list of threads that have new posts since I was online (or searched "new threads) last.

If I would like to go further back using the same sort of search, I search "today's posts" and get another list, most recent post first.

As for which forum to post a given topic, are they not pretty self-explanatory?

If you happen to post in a forum or subforum by mistake, a mod will move it to the more appropriate forum.

Maybe some other members will share their styles of enjoying the forum.

We look forward to having you join our discussion.

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

I usually check out the "header" forums first, then check the sub-forums for more topic-specific news.

If I feel something is really important I will post it in General Discussion as well as the appropriate header/sub-forum.

Thanks guys and thanks for the welcome! I'll have to get used to this way of doing things I guess.

Many of these topics are intertwined, such as gold/silver investing and economics; economics and politics; politics and conspiracy theory; religion and gold/silver; etc.

Exactly, intertwined. We set up a core and members have requested
'such and such' forum be created.

"Computers" for example. What do they have to do with gold or silver?
Nothing, but folks use them to post here, make trades, do research
    online, communicate, etc.

Eventually, there is enough interest in folks wanting a forum and it
gets created. That's not to say some haven't been rejected, they have.

Your comment reminds me of my first year in college. There was just so
many topics to study and which one to choose? I had too many choices!
So, I picked a subject and learned a little bit about it, then moved on.
Eventually, I had to choose a major field of study, but I learned a little
    bit from a whole lot.

Folks who never graduate are called 'Professional Students' and they try
to learn everything - I guess?
