Haven't seen anyone start this thread yet, so here goes...

---Post your 2014 year end price predictions here----

Assuming I don't get too busy, I will pool the results every week or so and post the results in this original post.

Prize if you win will be 1000 shares in your choice of a bankrupt junior miner, or a nice pat on the back.

Disclaimer: At this point, no prizes will actually be given, unless someone wants to volunteer a prize.

    I'll go first.
    Silver: $31.67
    Gold: $1611

I suspect this should be the year that the bull gets back on its feet.

    I already hear the beeping.

And I see a lot of swapping going on at 80:1

Regardless of the price, the Gin Bottle seeing an 80:1 GSR.

Almost as interesting would be to know how many gallons of gasoline you will be able to buy for the price of one oz of silver in a year. Eventually there will come a point in which the dollar denominated price of silver will be irrelevant compared to what you can actually purchase with the silver.

When I was in high school you could buy a gallon of gas for 3 silver dimes, or about .22 oz silver. Today it takes about .16 oz of silver to buy a gallon sop you can make a case that the price of gas has come down. Measuring the value of something of real value against a thing with no intrinsic or fixed value distorts reality. Screw how many dollars you get for an oz, sometime in the next year to several years that metric will become immaterial.

Silver and gold are being pinched, and will soon have to decide if they are going up or down. Make your prediction before they make their moves and you will be well-regarded come 2015.

I agree with the ripple bottle. When Gold runs it will run on it's own with silver following some time after. When is anybody's guess.

I like getting my Sovereigns for right around $300 and Ducats @ half of that so I don't expect it to last too much longer.

If GSR is 80:1, Au is at $10,383.15 then wouldn't Ag be at $129.79?

Or if one is set on the $13.01 Ag and GSR 80:1, then that puts Au at $1,040.

Hey, youngster, when I was in high school (1960), gas was only 2 dimes(19.9 cents/gal) .
So I say it hasn't changed much, when using REAL MONEY :s9:
    Spot Ag X .072 X 2 = $2.88, gas is $2.99 here in Oregon :s9:

What a great statement for how the dollar has fallen

Ok, because with a claim of 106:1 you should put that in your post so that we can give you the props you deserve if it happens rather than you fall short with your statement of

Want to give you those 26 points so that you can claim them later on. So should we correct that to say the Gin Bottle is seeing a 106:1 GSR for 2014?

Nope. GSR has to go through 80:1 sometime in 2014 to get to 106:1. If it happens to hit 106:1 it will only be there for a day, if that.

I do poorly for end of year predictions and I do not expect those prices to be there at the end of the year. I'm just playing along.

    Sometimes
I personally think between $1350-$1425 for gold and $25-33 for silver.

The pros however think the following.

    Gold/Ounce

    Barclays: $1,310

    Goldman Sachs: $1,750

    HSBC Global Research: $1,435

    Charteris: $3,500

Jim Sinclair: $2,400, and $3,200-3,500 by end 2016

    Sucden: $1,270-1,350

    Silver/Ounce

    Sucden: $16-26 in 2015

    Barclays: $19.50

    Charteris: $150 in 2015

Come on SB, it isn't if it happens to hit 106:1, it HAS to hit 106:1 to hit your "Silver $13.01 USD + Gold $1,383.15 USD." If you already are saying "if" you already pigeon holed yourself.

So you need to be more authoritative! "I, SB, believe that silver will hit $13.01 USD and gold will hit $1,383.15 USD with the GSR at 106:1 on 12/31/2014." No need to be shy now gin bottle.

Especially if you don't believe in it yourself. Gotta own it and make it yours SB!

:listen:Winter 2014 is going to be the biggest move yet in dollar terms, to 65-75$/oz. Physical silver is flying off the shelves, the Mints around the world are working overtime to try to keep up with demand. :alberteinstein::shot::stupid::dontknow:

What I said on 3-21-13 (Silver was 29.12) 23 days later it went below 25.84 & has not been back! :signs14:

" Nope, we won't even see sub 25.84US$ silver this summer. I've been buying silver since 2005 (really seriously since 2008), and even so, I am guessing that I am probably only slightly in the green right now"."[/B] That's when it was 29! :508:

Do you have a specific target to put on record? We don't do ranges here, only exact targets. If your right, you get a nice pat on the back at the end of the year...

Also, the list has been updated.

Gotta agree. It'll be fun to see who even hits the dart board while throwing blindfolded, much less the bullseye.

And I love Ragnaroks' call. That is funny. :cheerful::thumbs_up:
