    I'm interested in this, too. I know a guy on another site that has a buyer for old cell phones, but I would love to know what to look for when I'm staring at the 'guts' of electronic equipment.

    You must also legally deal with the hazardous waste that the process generates. That is VERY costly, even for the pro's. Please, leave this for professionals. Shade tree metallurgy can be dangerous and costly. Just my honest two cents. DYODD.

    might be better off accumulating the old electronics for free/cheap, then selling them in bulk to someone that already does it, then turn the cash to pms?
