Whenever I file my taxes, I mail them in instead of filing electronically. It's getting harder to do this - the software at H&R Block even demands to know WHY you aren't filing electronically. In my case there was a simple and plausible reason - that my wife was not present to sign the joint return.

Anyway, after we both sign it, I send it as Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested. For decades, the mailing address was the IRS processing center in Atlanta. This year it changed to a PO Box in Charlotte, NC. The check I sent for taxes owed was for more than $1000.00. Today I received the receipt. Look who signed for my return when it got to Charlotte:

This should clear up any questions about where our tax dollars are really going.

Why is that a big deal, it simply went to the bank that the IRS uses to deposit that money. JP Morgan has always been that bank, I have seen this before its nothing new.

You mean the bank that went bankrupt but was TBTF? You don't see a conflict of interest here? A bank that required taxpayer funds to survive is an authorized IRS agent directly receiving taxpayer funds? I'm very not okay with this.

TPTB advertise food stamp usage here in Michigan on billboards and all over, they also require you to use

your food stamps via a reloadable card called a bridge card.

Guess who issues said bridge cards and therefore gets a 3% cut of every bridge card transaction??

    You guessed it.

Yeah I know we're fellow Michiganders. There's a big sign outside the local KFC advertising bridge card acceptance. Makes me feel ill, and that's without stopping to buy any of Pepsi's slop. Fascist crap piled on top of fascist crap masquerading as socialism.

Ok I guess you could argue a conflict of interest if you were so inclined.

I am so inclined. Also, it just plain looks bad and would look bad even if JPM wasn't a bailout bank, that just makes it worse. The funds should be going to the treasury, so we can continue the pretense of paying our bills from tax revenue instead of having them funneled into the pockets of private banksters. Banksters who have recently even managed to make banker a more reviled profession than lawyer for many Americans. Never thought that'd happen. ;) Guess all those illegitimate foreclosures have taken their toll.

I wonder if JP morgan keeps that money as part of their bailout payment or if they transfer it to the treasury, that would certainly be interesting to know, I assumed it went to the treasury and they were just processing it but maybe not in which case yea that sucks.

Yip. I've saved "I LOVE YOU" stamps for the IRS for years. Yet despite my obvious affection, when they send me stuff back it looks like this:

    :finger::finger::finger:

I JUST want them to love me!

LOL they loved on me this year after screwing me in the ass last year. Last year I OWED 17,345 dollars and this year I got a 22,456 dollar refund. I never can seem to get my with hold percentage right.

    Are you serious?!??

Please tell me that was Photoshop'd. That is just all kinds of wrong.

I also refuse to file electronically. They don't make all this filing bull**** easy for us, so why the heck should I make it any easier on them?

The tax code needs to be tossed and replaced with something more straightforward and results in ALL adults being invested in the system with some of their own money.

Geesh! Next we'll find out one of the big wigs at J.P. Morgan is named "Ulysees Samuel Treasury!", or U.S. Treasury for short!
