This thread is for those interested in homemade weapons, mainly firearms and is for entertainment purposes only. Making and firing your own weapons / firearms could be very dangerous and could result in serious injury or death. Do not duplicate anything you see here.

Also the possession and manufacture of weapons / firearms with out a permit, license or tax stamp could be illegal and considered a crime resulting in criminal prosecution, criminal conviction, fines, property seizure and imprisonment. Do not even consider possessing or manufacturing your own weapons with out first consulting a lawyer as to the legal ramifications of doing so.

    Enjoy the thread.

WEAPONIZED Flashlight Shotgun Rounds - Ballistic Gel Test
    MattV2099: Guns & Food

    Published on Sep 27, 2015
Testing the custom Thrunite Ti3 x 12 gauge Weaponized flashlight shotshell in a 20% TSA / FBI spec ballistic gelatin block fomat. The Ballistic testing gel media was calibrated perfectly to match the major gains and density of an operator who lifts daily. Test gun is the Mossberg 590 A1 with 18" barrel. Filmed with three Sony HD AVCHD camcorders and two Sony Action cams. Edited with Final Cut Pro x. The title of this video is: WEAPONIZED Flashlight Shotgun Rounds - Ballistic Gel Test.

This is the 12 gauge Flashlight Shotgun Slug. We take several Thrunite Ti3 flashlights and convert them into a combination wax/flashlight slug. Conceptualized as the ultimate home defense round this ammo will strike terror into home intruders. We are Shooting Flashlights from a shotgun vs bullet-proof Gummy Bear. This video was made possible by the generosity of Thrunite flashlights. I pitched them the idea and they sent me several flashlights to test. Please check out their website! Flashlights fired out of a shotgun! For fun!

Special thank you to Thrunite who gave me the ballistic gelatin and the 6 flashlights so I could make this video.

Will a CHAINSAW Fix The USFA Zip Gun? Pistol Function Test.
    MattV2099: Guns & Food

    Published on Jun 5, 2016
Can a Chainsaw lubricate and fix the Worlds Most Abused USFA Zip Gun Pistol 22lr? This pistol is a challenge to operate. Coping with tests since day one, Mattv2099 has travelled a long road towards creating a scientific environment within which which the venerable USFA Zipcan finally cease to operate at operational standards. This is a series where we do whatever we can to get this gun to function!! and we fail repeatedly. As the USFA Zip proves time and time again to be an extremely difficult machine to operate. The title of this video is: Will a CHAINSAW Fix The USFA Zip Gun? Pistol Function Test.

This is the latest session with my USA Zip 22lr pistol. As you can see the pistol had a few hiccups on this outing. Fortunately after this I was able to install the upgraded spring kit which helped the pistol function better in future operations. First Shots: Check out my USA zip playlist for other videos about this pistol.

The USFA Zip 22LR Pistol is a polymer bullpup pistol. Designed to mount under the barrel of an AR-15. You could use it like an AFG that shoots 22lr. When the gun was initially sold it had many problems. However, with a spring upgrade the pistol became much more reliable and fun to shoot. Accessories for the zip include an action hold back, belt clip, bx25 reliability kit, suppressor barrel kit, SBR attatchment, Pelican case, Glow in the dark sights. Come back for more zip gun videos in the future as I test my working gun with some of these upgrades.

"Many firearms, including Glocks, are designed to be carried loaded with a round in the chamber. Unless the trigger is pulled, requiring a rather intentional effort with a Glock, they are completely safe. This was a goofy, pointless experiment, but his allegations that this was dangerous were invalid. If you mess with the trigger in some way, then yes. With an unmolested trigger, it really doesn't matter what you do with the gun, loaded or not, perhaps aside from tossing it in the fireplace. They don't discharge without pulling the trigger, ever, period. I've carried loaded and chambered Sigs and Glocks for decades. They're totally safe. If someone is unable to NOT pull the trigger, they might be the kind of individual who should put their car in park and shut off the engine to avoid flooring the gas pedal at red lights, careening into oncoming traffic! This is probably not the type of person who should own firearms!"

Can you flatten a car tire with a WAX SLUG?
    TAOFLEDERMAUS

    Published on Jun 11, 2016
Just a shortie video. We found this tire where we were shooting and decided to shoot it with a wax slug to see if it was possible to disable a car with a wax slug. Will the slug go all the way through it?

Wax slugs are something Barry from Iraq8888 introduced to Youtube some years ago. IMHO, much better than the "cut shells".

Will Magnum Condoms Disable A GUN? Hi Point Combat Pistol - Problem Solver
    MattV2099: Guns & Food

    Published on Jun 12, 2016
What happens if you wrap a gangster gat with A Magnum CONDOM? This is a magnum condom for the monster dong. How many MAGNUM condoms will it take to cause the Glock 40 to malfunction? Is one MAGNUM condom powerful enough to stop the slide from functioning properly? Will this create an over pressure situation and kaboom the problem solver? This has been suggested by viewers on multiple occasions and seemed like a fun video to do! This is a wacky function test and there are a lot more on the Mattv2099 Guns and Food channel! The title of this video is: "Will Magnum Condoms Disable A GUN? Hi Point Combat Pistol - Problem Solver"

Hi-point. The ultimate compromise between combat pistol and gangster gat. This is a gun I'd hate to love. At two pounds it's a pistol that perhaps only an operator or a giant sasquatch can handle. We demonstrate that the Hi-Point CF380 is indeed lethal with an expert ballistic gelatin test. Demonstrate proper cleaning methods. Prove that this tactical combat pistol is drop safe. And perform the ultimate torture test: saran wrap. Does this pistol operate on a level you cannot comprehend? Watch our ultimate Hi-Point test!

Test Tube Torture Test: MOTOR OIL
    TAOFLEDERMAUS

    Published on Jun 16, 2016
In this video we super heat Castrol GTX motor oil, spiked with a little water. I actually tried doing this with pure motor oil (which I never posted) and it "cooked" for about 30 minutes without anything happening. Because water has the highest expansion ratio of any liquid, that is why I used it. The glass would melt before the motor oil, alone, would reach "critical pressure".

Red Hot Muzzle Brake vs AK47 BULLETS "RHMB"
    MattV2099: Guns & Food

    Published on Jun 19, 2016
What if you place a red hot AK74 Muzzle brake on an AK47 Tapco, assault clip magazine? I had no idea this science experiment would result in such exciting observations! I was given the Tapco AK-47 Glockazine from my first subscriber! I appreciate the fact that this fully loaded AK 47 assault clips sacrificed itself for my operations. I will continue to conduct scientific experiments with this brand of muzzle brake! Filmed with three Sony HD AVCHD Camcorders; HDR-CX190. Edited in Final Cut Pro X. The title of this video is:Red Hot Muzzle Brake vs AK47 BULLETS "RHMB"

Placing a red hot AK-74 style muzzle brake in various substances and observing the results. Scientifically. This is a study in thermodynamics. Motivated by curiosity, viewer suggestions and what random stuff I have laying around. RHMB started as a satirical spoof on the RHNB (Red Hot Nickel Ball) phenomenon. I intended to make a couple videos and then move on to something new. However, motivated by a huge positive response and viewer suggestions I just kept doing them. Recently I lost the RHMB for several months. But eventually found it! Future RHMB videos will feature items such as an iPhone, the tactical head and more ammo. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

"Sputnik" - Testing Rare Soviet Shotgun Slugs
    TAOFLEDERMAUS

    Published on Jun 25, 2016
There is almost NO information on the internet regarding these old Soviet shotgun slugs. They in fact, pre-date the internet. However, that doesn't mean someone out there can't tell us more about these. I was lucky to get 4 of them, sent from Russia by Lars (with love). I doubt there are any of these in existence in the U.S. so this is a very rare glimpse at these historical slug.

SEVEN 5.56 Tracer Bullets Shot from a Shotgun at ONCE
    TAOFLEDERMAUS

    Published on Jan 17, 2015
Henry gave me some 5.56 tracer bullets that were pulled from some rounds to shoot from a shotgun. As you can see, they couldn't have fit neater into the shells- a perfect fit! That's rare with these bizarro shotgun shells. Will they "tracer-ize"? Let's see!

Thanks you HENRY for letting us try this! I wish they worked!

Test gun is the Arsenal SGL41 Saiga 410 shotgun. 18" barrel, spray painted, with red wood furniture. Filmed with three Sony HD AVCHD Camcorders. Edited in Final Cut Pro X.

thank you for watching. be sure to drop a comment and get an awesome discussion going. what else should I shoot from my Arsenal SGL41, saiga 410 shotgun? And a huge THANK YOU to Ben who sent me some Japanese food for the operations. I will make more videos featuring the nice gift he sent me.

This is the 410x76 Chopstick shotgun slug. We take a handful of half ounce stainless steel chopsticks and convert them to a combination glue / chopstick slug. Conceptualized as a hella asian gauge wacky shotgun load we discover than this load actually has serious power, penetration and aiming capabilities. Despite all of this, the round is very dangerous and should not be built by novices or shot out of low grade equipment. Yo Dawg we put a chopstick in yo bullet so you can eat while you skeet. The Title of this video is: WEAPONIZED Chopstick Shotgun Rounds - Ballistic Gel Test

What happens if you shoot items out of a shotgun that were not meant to weaponized as high speed, low drag projectiles? From ballistic tests to supersonic flashlights, we test conjectures that few operator have the time or inclination to invent. Creating wacky shotgun loads is one of the funnest things you can do in the shooting sports. These videos are an attempt to share that fun and entertainment with you. Thanks for watching.

Answering questions that operators are afraid to ask. Mattv2099 takes a scientific and objective approach to the minutia of the shooting sports. Answering important questions and inventing life hacks the Operator Science playlist serves both as education and entertainment. From weird and crazy custom shotgun loads to PhD dissertation level science this is the place for both education and entertainment operations.

My Homemade "Laser Taser" Pistol with pulsed YAG laser and High Voltage Head!!!
    styropyro

    Published on Jun 25, 2016
This is what happens when you combine thrift store electronics with military surplus parts! The heart of this bad boy is a pulsed Nd:YAG laser from an old Israeli military rangefinder, which is pumped by a flashlamp and has peak powers of several thousand watts (even though only for a short time). I also added a high voltage generator to make it a little bit scarier.

I should mention that a project like this should NOT be attempted at home! The funny thing is that the taser unit of the gun wouldn't kill me if I got hit (which I have..) but the capacitor bank for the pulsed laser could easily stop my heart. High voltage is not to be messed with by the inexperienced tinkerer, and attempting HV projects at home without much electronics experience is a good way to end up dead on the floor.

On a lighter note, be on the lookout for more vids! The laser bazooka was put on the backburner for a bit due to some issues with my diode banks, but the final product is in sight!

You should also be watching out for my giant ruby lasers that I'll get built before long, as well as some crazy pyro and science vids.

    Published on Jun 28, 2016
I finally finished the 200W laser gun!! 'This monster laser was built from scrap metal and a pile of broken "hybrid" DLP projectors, and runs on a stack of lithium polymer batteries. The power consumption is nearly a kilowatt, which is around what it takes to run a microwave oven!!

There are more crazy projects on the way, so stay tuned!! I may even try some optical pumping with this laser...

Thanks to DTR for providing the knife edgers that I used on the gun! He is also one of my main suppliers for laser diodes. https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/

A viewer named Tony contacted me a few months ago and offered to send us some unfinished steel cores for .50 BMG bullets. This is definitely a magic unicorn round. He explained the process of turning steel wire into these cores, going through many steps and different companies before it is an actual bullet. These a not the WORSE projectiles we have shot and we had fun testing them out.
