I'll look forward to the details that emerge, but the only specifics there are allegations of illegal registrations.
Once again, those making accusations of voter fraud are conflating registrations with votes. In my opinion, that is because they lack sufficient evidence of actual fraudulent votes.
Wake me up when they get 100 confirmed cases of voter fraud, never mind 3-5 million.
That's Goebbels bigger lie right there.
Let's also keep in mind that Steve Bannon was under investigation for possibly registering to vote illegally at a residence he didn't live at in Florida. That case has has been closed due to insufficient evidence of a crime. Good. I don't like Steve, but if he isn't guilty, I'm glad the case has been dropped.
Anyone who is caught voting illegally should be jailed and/or deported. Most of the confirmed cases of voter fraud from 2016 so far are US citizens who voted twice or voted on behalf of another voter - so the punishment would be jail time.
However, until we have actual evidence of crimes committed, maybe even a trial, how about let's go with innocent until proven guilty?
"Cock up before conspiracy" is my favorite way to describe Hanlon's Razor.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hanlon's razor is an aphorism expressed in various ways including "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" or "Don't assume bad intentions over neglect and misunderstanding." It recommends a way of eliminating unlikely explanations for a phenomenon (a philosophical razor).
As an eponymous law, it may have been named after Robert J. Hanlon. There are also earlier sayings that convey the same idea dating back at least as far as Goethe in 1774.
Let's say there are a bunch of illiterate or non-english speaking aliens, being served by a DMV served by a number of semi-literate government workers following a process approved by the very same Secretary of State who now wants to investigate the policy she approved - she's probably heavily medicated. Somebody fills out the wrong form. Somebody mistakes one name for another. Somebody checks a box they shouldn't have checked.
I'd guess there are maybe 3-5 aliens who maliciously voted nationwide.
I'm totally in favor looking at evidence, prosecuting criminal voting and improving voter ID policies and processes.
I'm against the hysterical witch hunt mentality that believes there were 3-5 million illegal votes.
Same mentality that has Trump tweeting about people illegally registered in two places while half his cabinet was so registered.
