About BGASC Review

Traders and collectors who want to get a jumpstart on these opportunities must find a sufficient gold dealer who is legitimate and doesn't rip them off.

BGASC offers many products for everyone regardless of why they want to buy these metals. Examining the company and its products shows potential traders everything they need to know to decide if the company is for them.

BGASC Review - Website

What's the Company's History, and What are Its Ratings?

Buy Gold and Silver Coins, or BGASC, started in 2012 in Dallas, Texas. The Better Business Bureau has accredited the company with a 4.43-star rating.

BGASC Review - Ratings

There have been only two complaints within the last twelve months. Customers can order metals and collectibles by calling the company, visiting the Dallas location, or on the company's website.

What Products Do They Offer?

BGASC offers many products for collectors and traders who want to build a supply of precious metals and more.

Among their gold products are American Eagle (proofs and bullion), US commemoratives, Buffalo, British Britannia, British Tudor Beasts, Perth Lunar series, Perth Kangaroo, Krugerrands, Philharmonic, and Pandas. The company offers one and ten-ounce bars, Sunshine bars, PAMP Suisse, Valcambi, and Rand.

BGASC Review - Silver Product

Silver products are Chinese Pandas, South Korean, South African, Mexican Libertad, New Zealand, Caribbean, and other foreign silver coins. The company offers one, five, ten, 100, and kilo bars, selling silver statues and bullets.

The business sells platinum fractional bars, one or ten-ounce bars, and American Eagle, and customers can buy one or ten-ounce copper, wheat pennies, and copper bullets. It also sells palladium bars and coins and legal tender coins.

Customers can get accessories such as CoinSafe capsules, protective sleeves for currency, coin holders, coin tubes, and cotton inspection gloves.

How to Buy Products

There are several ways to buy products from BGASC. Customers can visit their Dallas location, call to speak to a representative, or shop online. How much they want to spend and the payment method they want to do determines the best way to shop.

There are purchase limits, and maximum order amounts for each payment method. The limitations and restrictions appear under "Payment Methods" below.

If shopping by phone, customers can provide the representative with a list of the products they want and get a price lock. The price lock is a commitment to buy the products and to send the payment within one business day. If the order is canceled, a market loss penalty applies.

Shopping online requires the customers to set up a user account. They can add the items they want to an online shopping cart and complete a checkout process based on the payment method they want to use.

It's easy to save a payment method in the user account for future use, and the company uses encryption and secure socket layers to protect confidential information from outsiders.

The customer receives a confirmation email for their order, and they can track their package after it ships. All metals are packaged in discreet wrappings to prevent others from knowing what is in the parcel. Insurance applies to all shipments in case something is lost, stolen, or broken during shipping services.

Sell Products Back to the Company

Customers can initiate a buyback for their metals through the company. However, there is a minimum of $1,000 the customer's metals must meet before they can sell their metals. To start, the customer signs into their user account and selects the products in the" My Orders" section of their account.

They must contact customer service representatives for a price quote for their metals. The company's workers can provide a quote for the products, but the products must pass the inspection, or they will refuse the buyback. Once approved, the company sends the payment to the client.

BGASC cannot guarantee they will purchase all products through a buyback option. The company completes these opportunities based on their current needs. If they have an ample supply, they are less likely to buy. However, it doesn't mean that the company won't purchase the metals at a later date.

Individual Retirement Accounts Funded with Precious Metals

BGASC offers individual retirement accounts funded by precious metals. Newcomers can review their "IRA" tab and access their IRA guide to learn how to start. Customers do not have an open IRA account to participate in this opportunity. They can set up a completely new product to save for retirement.

Customers hire custodians separately from BGASC to start these accounts. The company recommends GoldStar Trust Company, Equity Trust, or Strata Trust Company.

However, customers can choose whoever they want that has IRS certification to open these accounts. BGASC recommends A-M Global Logistics, LLC, for depository services.

BGASC Review - Custodian

The custodian must coordinate purchases, shipments, and document preparation for the account. While the client provides the funding, they do not complete the purchase themselves, and they must deposit all money for these opportunities into the newly formed account through the custodian.

The client cannot use the IRA funds until retirement or at least 65. Custodians can arrange any additions to their accounts and manage all IRS tax filings for the client. When they retire, the custodian arranges distributions and deducts payments for tax implications.

A wise investor will review all their options before they decide what type of account they want to open. There are many benefits with Roth and conventional retirement accounts, and the client's decision determines how much they must pay in taxes based on income tax requirements.

Return and Exchange Policy

BGASC's return policy requires customers to call their customer service department within five days of receiving the order. Shipping fees and sales tax are nonrefundable and won't be part of the refunded amount. The market loss applies to all returned orders, but customers who choose an exchange aren't required to pay the penalty.

Market Loss Policy

BGASC will not cancel any confirmed orders where the payment has been received. However, customers can contact the company to cancel the order before the payment is processed. If they do cancel, BGASC reserves the right to charge a market loss fee to the customer's payment method.

The market loss fee is the difference between the quoted price and the current listing price for the product. A commitment to buy is binding, and the company can seek legal action if it cannot collect the fee.

Deals Tab

The "Deals" tab offers the most current deals and offers available through the company's website. If visitors want to determine what products are on sale or at a discounted rate, they can click on the tab and review the current inventory.

Price Charts

Price charts are available through the "Charts" tab, showing the current market prices for all precious metals. Customers can review these charts when buying or selling products to ensure they receive a fair price.

Most gold companies apply a markup for all products in addition to the market price, and customers should review prices among all companies of interest.

Shipping and Insurance

BGASC offers several shipping options for customers, including USPS, priority mail, and UPS 3-Day Air. Customers can choose their preferred shipping method and pay the rates when completing their order and submitting the payment. Standard shipping is available for $9.95 for all orders under $199. Customers get free shipping for all orders $199 and over.

The company applies insurance protection throughout the transport based on how many days the products take to arrive at the customer's preferred destination. BGASC cannot export any products to North Korea, Cuba, Syria, or Iran as the US has an embargo against these shipments to these countries.

Order Tracking and User Accounts

By signing up for a user account, customers can track their orders and review their previous orders. They'll know the location of all their packages anytime, and the clients can use the user account to save products for later. They can use many website features by signing into their account. It doesn't cost anything to set up a user account, and they aren't required to buy anything.

The Shopping Assistant

Visitors who need help on the company website can use the shopping assistant feature to find products and complete their transactions. The shopping assistant can answer any questions about the products, including pricing.

The New Arrivals Tab

Customers who want new products can click on the "New Arrivals" tab when visiting the website. They can find all the latest releases available through the website and see the price for each unit in the product listing. With a user account, they can set up alerts to notify them whenever a new product is added.

Payment Methods

All payments must be submitted within one business day, or the company must cancel the order. They have many accepted payment methods, but there are minimum and maximum purchase limits per payment method.

The minimum for bank wires is $1,000, with a maximum purchase limit of $250,000. ACHs cannot exceed $100,000. Personal or cashier's checks and money orders cannot exceed $75,000. Cryptocurrency payments max out at $250,000.

The maximum payment through PayPal is $60,000. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit or debit card payments max out at $50,000, and customers do not get a discount when using these payment methods. However, customers can get a three percent discount for cryptocurrency and a four percent discount for bank wires, ACHs, personal or cashier's checks, and money orders.

Sign Up for the Mailing List

Visitors who sign up for the mailing list receive weekly specials, discount codes, and deals via email. The company may send email marketing materials often to update customers about new deals and sales on the company website. Sometimes, there is a first-time order discount for visitors who sign up for the mailing list, which arrives via email.

Verdict

Conclusion

BGASC is a legitimate gold and precious metals seller, and the company has a long history of providing high-quality products to customers. A few complaints against the company exist, but most customers say positive things about them.

However, there are purchase minimums for specific payment methods and maximum limits that could restrict buyers of different income levels.

The company offers IRAs, too, and customers must commit to buying before getting the metals required to start the account. It seems like a good company; however, prospective customers should do their homework before starting an order.
