In a veterans home? WTF? What whackjob feels like a big man holding the helpless hostage. This place is huge, with over 1200 veterans housed there.

Police have surrounded a veterans' home in Napa County where officials have confirmed an active shooting and hostage situation this afternoon.

YOUNTVILLE, Calif. --
A man wearing body armor and armed with an automatic weapon stormed into a Napa County veterans home Friday morning and has taken at least three people hostage, according to reports.

The above from the link. This guy has a AUTOMATIC WEAPON?
Somehow I don't believe it, as the audio / video reports say they [the reporters] don't know anything themselves, only what they have been told by others.

Automatic weapons are banned per the NFA, aren't they? Only people who have to go through extensive background checks and produce evidence of highly secured storage of their automatic weapon(s) are granted a Class 3 license, aren't they? How could this happen?

I guess they must have had a few contacts about that automatic weapon bullshit, here is the update, automatic weapon changed to rifle:

Also read this:
Capt. Chris Childs with the CHP said hostages are Pathway Home employees who work with veterans living at the facility.

So hopefully no veterans are at risk in this situation.

Maybe the shooter got a free pass on obtaining the weapon from Fast & Furious?

These desperate sicko's drastically underestimated the veins of awakened defenders and the Internet's gracious assistance at spreading the truth. Sandy Hoax was sloppy enough to have tipped off quite a lot of us. Boston "Bombing" the same....fast forward to Vegas and Parkland and even Jake Tapper is smelling doodie and calling them on it.

God speed everyone.

OK, here's my theory on this one...

One of the best ideas I've heard was to hire vets as armed security guards to protect high school and college students. This 'event' was staged to discourage cities and towns from hiring vets because they're 'unstable'

Everything happens for a reason folks and that will continue as long as we tolerate the people we've placed in power

That's not a bad theory, but I think their goal is much broader than that. Which group of people would be highly skilled at training the general populace in how to use firearms in resisting a tyrannical government gone wild? Veterans!
