You don't have a loading manual?

If not get one they are handy and may save a hand.

alliant red dot reloaders guide 38spl :

38spl 148gr hbwc red dot max charge 3gr vel 806fps min oal 1.155
allant reloaders guide has no formula for 357 and red dot?
good luck????????

lee reloading guide:

lee load data for 38spl 148gr wc max charge of red dot is 3gr.
lee load data for 357 mag has no load data for a 148gr wc and red dot????

red dot is far from the best choice for reloading 38spl 148gr wc, and your choice of
4.5gr of red dot appears to be 50% greater than max charge?

3 grs of any powder is not a efficient load for any 38spl or 357mag, ?????
