I&I Editorial
If you watch and read the mainstream media, you’ll find all sorts of what passes as “analysis” of the Granite State’s vote results. The narrative being peddled is that the Democratic Party’s left is vying with its center. Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders won, with “moderate” Mayor Pete Buttigieg of white bread Sound Bend, Indiana, less than two points behind, his fellow Midwest centrist, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, with a surprising and respectable near-20%, right behind him, and lefty Sen. Elizabeth Warren in disappointing single digits finishing fourth.
Appearing on Fox News Wednesday, Clinton administration veteran Richard Goodstein was touting the strong showing of the moderate vote in New Hampshire. And even Warren herself, Wednesday night interviewed on CNN, quoted a Jesse Jackson line. “It takes two wings to fly,” she said, implicitly conceding the divisions among Democrats. “We need someone who’s going to be able to unite this party, and to be able to fight hard on behalf of core Democratic values.”
If you bought this bill of goods, you would imagine that the most formidable force within the party now out of power in the executive branch is connoted by the combined percentage of votes picked up in New Hampshire by Buttigieg, Klobuchar, and former Vice President Joe Biden – which together forms the majority of those who took part in the state’s Democratic primary this week.
The truth is far different: Socialist ideology is now firmly in control of the Democratic Party’s future. Sanders may have come in first, as the leader viewed (accurately) by primary voters, and Iowa caucus-goers, as a paragon of authenticity, with his long record of adherence to Marxian economic purism. But he is also a 78-year-old who just had a heart attack.
The real winner of the New Hampshire primary Is 48 years younger than Sanders, and can without stretching the truth be called the hard-left conscience of the party to which she belongs: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of the Bronx and Queens.
It doesn’t matter if Sanders ends up not being the nominee. If Buttigieg or Klobuchar gets to walk out on the stage in Milwaukee in July, we no doubt will hear toned-down versions of Medicare For All, the Green New Deal, and the massive tax increases proposed to fund these projects. But lurking in the wings will be AOC and The Squad. And just as they were the power behind the scenes that forced House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, against her better judgment, to launch the impeachment of President Donald Trump once a half-baked rationale materialized last year in the form of the phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, AOC and her comrades will pressure this year’s Democrat standard bearer.
They may hold back during the general election campaign, understanding that America is not yet a place where an outright socialist platform wins national elections. But once Buttigieg or Klobuchar is ensconced in the Oval Office, The Squad and its disciples, with the full backing of the establishment media, will turn the flame up to high. Indeed, the very day after the New Hampshire primary, Klobuchar zoomed straight over to do an in-studio interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, displaying fealty to the left’s must-view TV talking head.

The Hard Left Will Bully A Democratic President
All the rhetorical volleys we’ve heard from Warren, Sanders and AOC herself, which were directed at Trump, the oil and pharmaceutical industries, and “multi-billionaires,” will be re-targeted at the new Democratic president, the verbal ammunition adjusted as appropriate. Buttigieg, and even Klobuchar, are not the creatures of the center the media makes them out to be anyway, but subjected to the constant prodding of AOC and the rest of the growing, young, infatuated-with-socialism wave of Democrat power players in Washington, a Democrat as 46th president is sure to implement many policies far to the left of Barack Obama’s.
This becomes clear in the course of listening to the alarmist talking points of Sanders, Warren and AOC herself. They repeatedly declare, for instance, that climate change is threatening the very existence of the planet. Sanders speaks of “a planet increasingly unhealthy and uninhabitable.” His website promises he will “cut the wealth of billionaires in half over 15 years, which would substantially break up the concentration of wealth and power of this small privileged class.”
Warren wants to end oil drilling on government-owned land by executive order, “begin planning to phase out all offshore drilling,” and subside the offshore wind turbine industry. Her annual wealth tax would hit those worth more than $50 million, with billionaires getting hit with additional new taxation.
Ocasio-Cortez has declared, “Millennials and people, you know, Gen Z and all these folks that will come after us are looking up and we’re like: ‘The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change – and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?’” She contends that “a system that allows billionaires to exist” is in itself immoral.
It is a textbook application of infamous Democrat hitman Rahm Emanuel’s maxim that “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” What crises are more serious than the world coming to an end, and wealth belonging to a tiny group when it really should be distributed amongst the masses? The latter being used as the impetus for two of history’s worst disasters, the French Revolution and Lenin’s seizure of power in Russia.
Sanders in the White House, of course, would need no encouragement to enact revolutionary policies, but whatever moderation a President Klobuchar or President Buttigieg might be inclined toward will be under constant attack from an energetic, increasingly well-organized cabal of true-believer socialists whose rise to power within the Democratic Party has only just begun.
So for true New Hampshire winner AOC, it’s now on to victory in Nevada, then South Carolina, and the Democratic convention in Wisconsin this summer.

The author of that article may have a point. But I think they give themselves a bit too much credit. I think the foolish socialists in the dimwit party do have a hardcore following, but it is not a majority. I think they are the flavor of the month, but are finding or will find that they will start losing popularity. Yeah I could be wrong, so it bears out that we should be ready for their stupidity. They have already shown that they are willing to sink to new lows to destroy the country and enslave the people.

And place it in the hwnds of whom? .gov to do what? Unproductive people end up like Venezuela. Free handouts create division. Free higher education for a worthless degree create even more dependency. Everyone will go to school until they are 25-30-40 and not start a family....... then become resentful when immigrants take over whatever the last minority group had. All the while infrastructure degrades to useless.

Yup. Socialism / communism is designed to kill and destroy. When looking at it that way, it works perfectly.

No doubt...with more and more miseducated youth combined with more and more immigrants looking for handouts (not that they’re all like that mind ya), I fear it’s a matter of when not if.

Just because Pete Butt. and Amy Klob. are a few nano-particles less Lunatic Leftist than Bernie or Lizzie doesn't make them moderates or centrists!

If one looks at the history of center left "big tent" political parties around the world, one will find that they always end the same way. The hard left always hijacks them and then drives them into the ground. What is happening to blue team right now is precisely what happened with the labour party in jolly old England. Sanders can fairly easily hijack the dim party and the machinery may or may not be able to stop him...again. That's precisely why bloombarf is being allowed to buy rule changes and get involved. When that fails I expect to see HRC take another crack at cheating Sanders out of the nomination.

The real problem for Sanders and his misguided naive lemming followers is that they will not win a general election. Sanders is the only team blue muppet candidate that will allow Trump to gobble up nearly 100% of moderate votes. People > 45ish tend to see right through Sanders' naive bullshit...and they'll destroy him in the midwest battle ground states. Sanders or AOC by proxy...will get annihilated in the electoral college.

AOC will be 31 in October 2020.

Even if she runs as Bernie's VP, somehow they win, Bernie dies of a massive heart attack and she takes the helm.

Will she be old enough to take the POTUS slot?

Just asking for a couple million libtards...

You guys have a vivid imagination. Just two years ago this commie was unheard of, now she's being discussed as a VP candidate? She can't even manage her finances.

I hear tell she blew her nose a little too hard one day. Lost the remaining brain cells she had.

Yessir, I have had the unfortunate displeasure of seeing it first hand, more than once. I don't know how some of them even breathe. The amount of concentration on their part must be breath-taking. ;)
