One Supreme Court Justice Announced Their Retirement Plans With These 4 Words

All hell in Washington was about to break loose.
Rumors about a Supreme Court Justice retiring were swirling around Washington.
And this Supreme Court Justice just revealed their retirement plans with these four words.
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has been the center of retirement speculations.
Ginsberg serves as the anchor of the court’s four liberal Justices, however, she’s suffered from multiple health ailments in the last few months.
Last fall, Ginsberg took a spill and broke her ribs.
While doctors were treating her injury, they discovered cancerous tumors on her lungs.
But she is not the Justice most heavily rumored to retire.
Political observers expect Ginsberg to serve on the court as long as her health permits for the entirety of Donald Trump’s Presidency.

Ginsberg will never willingly allow President Trump to appoint her replacement and radically shift the court to the right.

Instead, some pundits believe the 70-year-old conservative champion Clarence Thomas might be the next Justice to retire.

Some conservatives think Thomas should retire while Trump is President and the Republicans control the Senate in order to allow Trump to appoint a much younger conservative who could serve for 30 or 40 more years.

If that happened, conservatives could lock in a five Justice Republican majority for at least 15 to 20 years.

But other conservatives don’t agree.

Thomas is still young – Ginsberg and fellow liberal Justice Stephen Breyer are both in their 80s – and Thomas is perhaps the best Supreme Court Justice of all time.

Thomas never bends to liberal pressure and faithfully upholds the Constitution as the framers originally intended.

So when Justice Thomas spoke at Pepperdine University School of Law’s annual dinner, incoming president Allan Gash put Thomas on the spot and confronted the retirement rumors head-on.

Gash asked Thomas which dignitary he would select to speak at his hypothetical retirement dinner 20 years down the line.

“I’m not retiring,” Thomas firmly responded.

Thomas’ declaration that he wanted to serve at least 20 more years on the court means that even if Donald Trump isn’t re-elected and is succeeded by a two-term Democrat President, the 5-4 Republican appointee majority will hold until at least 2028.

That is good news for conservatives.

Thomas is by far the most thoughtful and forceful conservative on the bench.

Even though conservatives trust President Trump to appoint a solid conservative to replace Thomas, there are no guarantees in life.

Conservatives have seen past Justices like John Paul Stevens, Sandra Day O’Connor, David Souter and John Roberts drift to the left as their terms on the court wore on.

Roberts, especially, is vulnerable to liberal bullying.

The Chief Justice stabbed conservatives in the back when he twice voted to uphold Obamacare because he was afraid of what liberal journalists would write about him.

There are no such worries with Thomas.

Thomas’ presence as an African American conservative so threatened the left that, during his nomination, the fake news media trotted out Anita Hill to make absurd allegations about Thomas allegedly sexually harassing her ten years prior.

Thomas withstood the fake news, hoaxes, and smears and forcefully defended himself during a televised hearing and eventually won confirmation to the Supreme Court.

But that experience opened Thomas’ eyes to the horrors and soulless evil of the smear merchants on the left and in the fake news media.

That is one reason why he has stuck true to his bedrock conservative principles.

And it’s why conservatives are thrilled he wants to remain on the court for decades.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.

IMO, the fact that the court can go left or right is in itself an admission that the whole system sucks. There is only 1 constitution, plainly written so even the average person could read it and understand it. Our country would be a far different place if both sides had to adhere to it.

Ruth is only hanging in there because someone told her how the next election would go and they want her to wait it out. I hope I'm wrong and she is wasting 4 years of her retirement by staying. Seems like the left always has a plan though and the right is always surprised by it.
