So yesterday I jumped in the van and headed off to Fort Wayne to transact a purchase. The fastest, easiest way to get there for me is to take US 30 which is about 25 miles south of me. Cloudy day and intermittent drizzle with a brisk east wind made staying alert easy along with a quart of freshly brewed coffee for my journey there and back.

Traffic was about normal for the back country roads down there. When I got to 30 traffic was slighlly heavier than any "normal day" not affected by corona gov stupidity. What was very interesting was that the truck traffic was really heavy. Not the typical FedEx/UPS vans or the army of contractors and service people rushing from job to job. No, it was was the tractor-trailer rigs hauling industrial product, materials and who knows into and out of Fort Wayne or the towns in between.

Along the way businesses and factories were open and operating with the visible exception of some dine-in only restaurants. People were traveling and stopping at these businesses and the factory parking lots were filled with employees vehicles. Did not see any boats on the lakes I passed, probably due to the weather...not a nice day to go fishing.

Hopefully bars, sit-down restaurants and entertainment venues will open soon.

Traffic patterns near me are kinda sorta back to normal time flow patterns, just not to the full volume yet...

Hopefully bars, sit-down restaurants and entertainment venues will open soon.

Here, between Yellowstone and Glacier...a crossroads on the Interstate...and with plenty of government work, everything from the State University to NPS and USFS offices and training centers...

...traffic, after being slow for weeks, is MUCH heavier than it normally would. I think it's cabin fever from the Grey People, the government drones. They get paid but with nothing to do, so they go for rides.

Stores and restaurants here are mostly reopened. We have a low, static case count. So I guess there's little fear.

But the traffic is always bad, and now it's much worse. Incredibly bad driving, too. Few people drive worse than FedGov retirees, of which we have quite a few.

After 2 months of deserted freeways and no traffic congestion in Los Angeles, traffic jams in the usual spots are coming back. We hear a lot more car horns from the highway near our house. Road rage is slowly coming back.

Things are looking up in California! :D

The woods are full of campers and every other truck/SUV is pulling a boat, a trailer with some type of ORV on it, or some kind of camper. Gov half-whit is being ignored as county sheriffs and local police refuse to enforce her bullshit.

The campaign of fear is now a paid vacation.

The ones wearing useless masks today will still be wearing them next year. Not a bad thing most look better wearing a mask anyway.

Radio called went off the deep end. Bashing the experts & saying they don't understand the damage they are doing. Snarky host asked if he had a medical degree. He said no but a 1 micron germ is not going to be stopped by a home made mask! Priceless.

Had an old friend looking for some info. We were texting back and forth. Got him what he wanted then asked if everything was OK etc..... pretty easy going self employed person.

Him; "We are good yes. Ready to live life again.
Me; Test drive for socialism.
Him; That's for sure. People are done with it. They have to remember we still have weapons.
Me; They sure need to remember they work for us!
Him; Yes Sir
