  • He was taken into custody and charged with assault
  • A spokesman for Paul said he was going to be fine, but suffered minor injuries
  • Boucher's Facebook page is full of posts slamming Trump

Funny... seems that it's always "conservative" individuals who are assaulted by "liberals" - most often in mobs...

Those "peace-loving liberals", huh ?

I hoping this was a neighbor type dispute and not a political one. On the other hand Rand Paul isn't shit compared to the old man...

While Paul's injuries were originally reported as "minor" on Sunday, it was revealed that Paul suffered five broken ribs, including three displaced fractures. Paul's senior adviser Doug Stafford said that Paul may miss quite a bit of work as he's in a lot of pain and has trouble moving due to his injuries.

I hoping this was a neighbor type dispute and not a political one.
Why? I'd be surprised if it weren't about politics. The neighbor acted the same as many other lib-types once they realize they aren't going to get their way. That's when they get violent.
....and granted, not all of 'em are like that, but it does seem to be many of 'ems M.O. It's, "give me my way or else!" "Wah!" Never seen such a bunch of sore losers in my life.

On the other hand Rand Paul isn't shit compared to the old man...
Granted, but he's still way better than most of the other Congress critters.

Rand Paul isn't his father. That's a given by me.
However, I would venture to say he has had more of a practical effect on Congress than his dad.
His dad stood by his principles and preached to the faithful for decades.
His dad's presidential run the last time was amazing in that the RINOs had to go to extraordinary lengths to shut him down.
But shut him down they did.
I am very happy I helped to elect him, I am proud he is one of my Senators.
RINOs hate him, which is the ultimate complement.
I hope they throw the book at this pill pusher who attacked him.

5 broken ribs is a pretty fecking major assault. Between this and the ANTIFA asshole shooting up the church it looks like the leftists are falling off the edge and turning to violence.

Be on guard folks, it's going to get much worse before it gets better. And I still say it's best to get this over with now instead of later when there's more of them.

Newest Details Emerge About Senator Rand Paul’s Attacker, Capitol Police Working On Case
Posted by Sam Di Gangi | Nov 7, 2017 |

Rand Paul suffered a terrible attack that was uncalled for and which call “attempted murder” on social media.

As the details about the attack that bested Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) trickle in, things just get stranger and more bizarre. For instance, the Washington Post reported that the condition of the libertarian-leaning Senator was far worse than first conveyed. They write that he endured “five broken ribs and bruises to his lungs” and that he was not expected back to work as soon as many had hoped.

Today, Blasting News has given us even more insight as they expose that “Rene Boucher, 59, worked with Paul when they both were practicing physicians in Kentucky” prior to his ascension to the U.S. Senate. This is the man who inflicted upon Paul injuries that were first thought to be only “a bruised face and injured rib” but have since turned out to be “quite serious.”

Rib fractures and “lung contusions” are both being suffered by the Senator from Kentucky. This makes the simple act of breathing or rolling over in bed nothing short of agony. Those that have broken or injured a rib in such a way (including this author) can attest to weeks of misery.

The assault happened as the son of Texas legend Ron Paul was mowing his Bowling Green lawn. Boucher, in true cowardly manner, snuck up behind the Senator and tackled him, according to reports. The whole situation is to have “emanated from a longtime personal dispute between the two men” and was called “trivial.”

While this may be the case, the sentence for putting a Senator in the hospital is certainly not going to be “trivial,” a fact that Boucher may soon discover for himself. In fact, the act of doing so is a federal crime and “Capitol Police are investigating the attack.” The only silver lining for the culprit lies in the fact that this was not a politically motivated assault, something that may spare him the full punishment of the law.

Presidential hopeful Rand Paul (pictured) suffered a terrible attack that will offer only a pain-ridden recovery.

Since the 59-year-old is said to have verbally attacked Rand Paul on a personal level before taking him down and fracturing his ribs, the signs point to this not being motivated by the Senator’s status as a leader.

Doug Stafford is Rand Paul’s senior adviser and he said, “It is a pending, serious criminal matter involving state and federal authorities. We won’t have any further comments at this time.” This is not a case that Paul seems to want to have tried in the court of public opinion beyond what has already happened.

The Kentucky Senator is quite popular and some Twitter users have called this, “attempted murder,” so it is clear why the Rand Paul camp is avoiding undue gossip on the matter.

Another Twitter user named Harry Enten felt that the attack “should be a big story” and it does seem strange that the libertarians besting was not more widely reported, to say the least.

As this blows over and (after quite some considerable pain during recovery time) Paul returns to work, we need to understand how vulnerable our leaders are to violence. Sure, this was just a personal dispute and nothing more. A fight that would have hardly made the papers if ut has transpired between two civilians.

That said, we may not be so lucky the next time.

Skaggs described Boucher as a "near-perfect" neighbor, but he said the libertarian politician is a different story.

Paul "was probably the hardest person to encourage to follow the (homeowner's association regulations) of anyone out here because he has a strong belief in property rights," said Skaggs, who is the former chairman of the Warren County Republican Party.

Skaggs noted the 13 pages of regulations are extensive. But even from the start of Paul's residence in Rivergreen, Skaggs said Paul has been difficult to work with.

"The major problem was getting the house plans approved," Skaggs said. "He wanted to actually own the property rights and build any kind of house he wanted. He didn't end up doing that, but it was a struggle."

Homeowner's associations can go straight to hell.

"Let me make sure I'm hearing you correctly. You are going to tell me what house I can build, pay for and pay property taxes on?"

Rand probably told them to mind their own business and eff off.

The truth will out...

Rand Paul's neighbors rip media 'landscaping dispute' reports

by Paul Bedard | Nov 8, 2017

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and wife Kelley, are described as pretty typical and friendly neighbors. (AP Photo/Nati Harnik)

The Bowling Green, Ky. neighbor who allegedly sucker attack Sen. Rand Paul last weekend, causing six broken ribs, was aggressively anti-Trump and anti-GOP in his social media, calling for the impeachment of the president and urging Russia investigator Robert Mueller to “fry Trump’s gonads.”

Captured screen grabs of Rene Boucher’s Facebook page provided to Secrets and taken down since the event also show that the anesthesiologist was a fan of the #NeverTrump clan.

His lawyer said that politics played no part and it has been suggested that the two verbally tussled over lawn clippings, leaving the impression that the Republican Kentucky senator was a negligent landscaper.

But seven neighbors in the Rivergreen gated community told Secrets Wednesday that the Pauls are friendly homeowners who kept their property tidy.

“The Paul’s landscaping looks just like everyone’s place in Rivergreen. Wish I could get him to cut my lawn,” said neighbor Robert Warner. “As a friend, neighbor and senator, Rand has been first class in every way. What I find amazing is the fact that he cuts his own grass. Our neighborhood is fortunate that the Paul’s live here,” he added.

All seven neighbors expressed shock at the “scary” attack on Paul as he was doing yard work last Saturday and they dismissed reports that it was the result of poor landscaping. However, they are puzzled about why Boucher, 59, allegedly tackled Paul, 54, who was wearing ear plugs at the time. Boucher has been charged with assault.

“The stories of a ‘landscaping dispute’ or a dispute of any sort between Rand Paul and Rene Boucher are erroneous and unfounded. The reason for Mr. Boucher’s bizarre attack is known only to him. Statements to the contrary are irresponsible and unnecessary,” said neighbor Travis Creed.

He added, “Speculation regarding Boucher’s motive has led to an unfair characterization of the Pauls and their home. The Pauls are and always have been great neighbors and friends. They take pride in their property and maintain it accordingly. Rand has enjoyed working on and maintaining his lawn for as long as I have known him.”

Another neighbor, Dan Renshaw, owner of a large car sales group, told us, “This episode is so wrong on so many levels, to be absolutely blindsided and attacked while mowing one’s lawn. I can’t imagine being in my yard pulling weeds or mowing and being totally attacked by anyone, much less my neighbor? It’s hard to believe he was out of jail the next morning on a $7,500 bail.”

He took note that the attack wasn’t on any neighbor, but a U.S. senator. “What kind of individual does this? It’s scary when it hits this close to home, to friends or neighbors,” said Renshaw.

Renshaw also dismissed the speculation that the fight was over landscaping. “Their lawn is always mowed. It’s such a lame excuse. That could have killed Rand if a rib had punctured a lung or worse yet the heart. Just no excuse for this type of behavior from adults. Especially educated adults.”

Paul on Wednesday tweeted that his condition included six broken ribs and excess fluid around his lungs.

Neighbor Alicia Stivers express shock at the violence of the attack. “I have never heard Sen. Paul speak an unkind word about anyone, let alone become physically violent. Which makes it all the more shocking that a next-door neighbor of many years who has not so much as exchanged an email or spoken word with Rand in several years, would race downhill and pummel Rand from behind,” said Stivers.

She has served four years on the neighborhood association and said that there were no reports of problems between Paul or Boucher. “I am wondering how the media can describe what took place as an altercation. Is it an altercation when no words are exchanged and one person is attacked from behind with no warning? I must check my dictionary,” she added.

Ditto from Rina Malmquist, the current Rivergreen homeowner’s association president.

And neighbors Kevin and Diona Kelly told of how Paul and his wife Kelley are friendly neighbors who even include them in their annual “Paul Family Football Game” at the holidays.

“It is here that Rand and his family welcome any and all neighbors, whether you choose to be a player, a cheerleader or a self-appointed referee you are part of a team. It is here that we join to catch up on our busy lives, to reminisce about our many afternoons at the lake and to reacquaint ourselves with the simple task of ‘being neighborly,” they said.

This is what bothers me, why do people move into HOA communities where there are rules, and then whine about the rules? By definition, enforcing the HOA rules is their business. If you want more freedom, move out to the country, get yourself a little acreage, live next two a tribe of Meth heads with Chevy's up on blocks and declare your freedom...Still jumping on someone mowing their lawn is wrong, and what happened will come out.

When I was 19 I bought a lake lot from my then girlfriend's older brother for peanuts. I later sold it for a nice profit and learned a great lesson on how many parasites are hanging off of every real estate purchase large or small.
I also learned about neighborhood associations because my postage stamp sized lot of soggy dirt was in one.

If anybody thinks local and national government is an orgy of incompetence and idiocy they should experience the joy of a handful of stupid, bored mostly alcoholic busybodies playing government on a street by street level with the power to place liens. I am getting pissed off again just thinking about it all those years ago!

HOA regulations are a pain, but so are rules in whole 'towns'... No vegetables in front garden, for instance, or no clothes-lines, or what kind of roofing, height of lawn, color of house, etc.... even getting fined for "flaking paint".
No getting away from "other people's choices" when living "among other people". Have to be out in the boonies to "do your own thing".

Amazing how the pissant media went straight to fake news reporting about this entire attack incident, and they did it all at the same time like they all got the same script.

Developing: Prosecutors Expected to Hit Rand Paul’s Attacker With Federal Charges (Video)
November 9, 2017 by Jim Hoft 35 Comments
Shepard Smith reported Thursday that federal prosecutors are expected to charge Senator Rand Paul’s attacker with federal charges.

Senator Rand Paul (R-TN) suffered six broken ribs and a pleural effusion after he was ambushed and assaulted by a neighbor at his Kentucky home last Friday.

The attacker, Rene Boucher, a 59-year-old retired anesthesiologist, was charged with fourth-degree assault. Neighbor’s of the Republican lawmaker say reports that the incident was over a landscaping dispute is fake news.

According to FOX News Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul was told to expect federal charges against his Socialist neighbor who attacked the Republican senator last week.

That prosecutors are expected to bring federal charges in the attack indicates that they may believe it was politically motivated, Smith reported.

Previous media reports that the attack was over a long-standing dispute are inaccurate, Paul’s office has said.

If the deranged leftists think this attack will make Paul back off and toe the line I hope they are sadly mistaken.
I think Rand will move his family unless his attacker is removed, dig in and unleash hell on the leftists from now on.

To me at least it's obvious Rand was attacked because he worked directly and secretly with President Trump to write the EO that gutted husseincare.
Hospitals and drug companies are making billions off husseincare and don't want it done away with, or changed one bit.

While I agree that a staunch libertarian seems out of place living in a HOA, the leadership of that HOA contradicts the assertion that Senator Paul was causing problems.

Neighbor Alicia Stivers express shock at the violence of the attack. “I have never heard Sen. Paul speak an unkind word about anyone, let alone become physically violent. Ditto from Rina Malmquist, the current Rivergreen homeowner’s association president.

Occam's Razor dictates that the assault was politically motivated and timed to fit the 4NOV17 "Impeach Trump" events.

I still hold dogmatically to my assertion that this is all part of HRC's Concession Call to arm the Revolting Purple People.

If you have not yet watched HRC's Concession Speech, you should do so.

Keep in mind that her devout followers are being controlled and manipulated, and then think about the hypnotic effects of media.

Her speech is a call to war, and Boucher heeded the call.

Well that simplify's things, we have a witness to what happened..." would race downhill and pummel Rand from behind,” said Stivers.". I will add, it is so nice to have government supplied health care in times like these...and we will be getting the bill.

It is fall could this have been a fight over leaves? Maybe mr. Paul was piling up leaves somewhere on his property and the wind was taking it over to this neighbor who got so enraged he attacked.

Rand Paul attack: More neighbors now casting doubt on 'landscaping dispute' story 20 / 37

FOX News

Brooke Singman

More of Sen. Rand Paul's neighbors are speaking out and casting doubt on reports that a mere "landscaping dispute" led to the attack a week ago that left the Republican lawmaker hospitalized with six broken ribs.

As the suspect — 59-year-old neighbor and anesthesiologist Rene Boucher — pleads not guilty to a single misdemeanor assault charge, the motive for what Paul's office describes as a “blindside” remains a total mystery.

The New York Times initially reported neighborhood chatter suggesting a long-running landscaping disagreement led to last Friday’s attack in Kentucky.

Boucher’s attorney, Matt Baker, has insisted the incident had “nothing to do” with politics.

But neighbors now say the notion of a yard dispute gone wrong doesn't add up.

In an interview with Fox News, Paul’s neighbor of 17 years, Dan Renshaw, a local car dealer in Bowling Green, was dismissive of reports that the incident stemmed from anything having to do with "lawn clippings," given the severity of the attack. He said U.S. Capitol Police have been to the neighborhood, signaling an intensifying local and federal investigation into last week’s incident.

Further, Renshaw said his son-in-law — who sits on a neighborhood board — told him there's never been any reports of conflicts between the two men or any report of trouble from the alleged attacker.

Neighbor Alicia Stivers told NPR member station WKYU FM that she saw Paul after the attack, and he was having trouble breathing and talking and had lacerations on his face.

She said she couldn't imagine the attack was politically motivated, but also had never known the two men to complain about anything — calling the attack out of the blue.

RAND PAUL'S OFFICE CALLS 'VIOLENT' ATTACK A 'BLINDSIDE,' KNOCKS DOWN REPORTS OF YARD DISPUTE

Paul’s senior adviser Doug Stafford also disputed claims of a neighbors' quarrel on Thursday, issuing the senator’s most detailed statement yet on the nature of the attack.

“Last week Senator Paul was vigorously assaulted by someone in his neighborhood. This is a serious criminal matter involving serious injury, and is being handled by local and federal authorities,” Stafford said in a statement to Fox News. “As to reports of a longstanding dispute with the attacker, the Pauls have had no conversations with him in many years.”

Stafford said the first so-called “conversation” with the attacker “came after Sen. Paul’s ribs were broken.”

“This was not a ‘fight,’ it was a blindside, violent attack by a disturbed person,” Stafford said. “Anyone claiming otherwise is simply uninformed or seeking media attention.”

Boucher’s attorney told Fox News on Monday that Boucher and Paul have been neighbors for 17 years and were “prominent members of the local medical community and worked together when they were both practicing physicians.” He said only that the dispute grew out of “a matter that most people would regard as trivial.”

But another neighbor, who requested to remain anonymous, disputed the buzz over landscaping in an interview with Fox News on Friday. The source said Paul and Boucher have not spoken for years, while expressing surprise over what happened.

“Dr. Boucher is a kind and gentle fella, I’m shocked,” the neighbor told Fox News. “He’s a caring person — really caring, and gentle.”

The neighbor suggested the senator’s “attitude” could have led to the attack last week.

“Rand is like — big me, little you — it’s what we used to say when we were growing up,” the neighbor said Friday, adding: “Rand may not even know why, but he had a reason. I’d say there was something brewing.”

But what?

Yet another purported neighbor told the Courier Journal reports of a landscaping dispute are wrong.

Two neighbors in Paul’s community told Fox News on Friday that Boucher was divorced from his wife, and lived alone at home.

On Thursday, Boucher and his attorney entered a not guilty plea in Warren County Circuit Court before Judge Brent Potter. Boucher currently faces a charge of misdemeanor fourth-degree assault.

Boucher and his lawyer agreed to a pre-trial conference scheduled for Nov. 30 to review the charges. The defendant is free on a $7,500 bond.

Meanwhile, the senator’s injuries are worse than initially thought.

Paul shared a medical update on Wednesday saying he had six broken ribs and a “pleural effusion.” A pleural effusion “is the build-up of excess fluid between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs,” according to the Cleveland Clinic. Paul’s office initially said the senator broke five ribs after the incident.

As for the single misdemeanor charge, State Police told Fox News on Monday that in Kentucky, there is a statute that considers an assault a felony only if there is serious physical injury. Sources in Paul's office told Fox News' senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano that the senator has been told to expect federal charges to be filed against his attacker.

Though the State Police was unable to provide Fox News a timeline for when their investigation will be complete, a spokesman said “it is up to Commonwealth prosecutors” whether Boucher’s charges could change from misdemeanor to felony based on the severity of those injuries.

Fox News' Doug McKelway contributed to this report.

REPORT: Rand Paul Having Problems Breathing After Vicious Attack From Democrat Neighbor

"I’m just concerned that I was attacked from the back and somebody broke six of my ribs and gave me a damaged lung."

ByRYAN SAAVEDRA
November 13, 2017

Ten days after being attacked by his Democrat neighbor, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) now says he is having problems breathing from the six-broken ribs and damaged lung he received during the attack.

Paul told the Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard that he does not know what sparked the violent attack.

“From my perspective, I’m not really too concerned about what someone’s motive is. I’m just concerned that I was attacked from the back and somebody broke six of my ribs and gave me a damaged lung where at least for now I have trouble speaking and breathing and now I’ve hurt for 10 days,” Paul said.

Paul, 54, was allegedly assaulted by his 59-year-old neighbor, Rene Boucher — a registered Democrat — while he was doing yardwork on November 3. Police arrested and charged Boucher with fourth-degree assault, and released him on Saturday after her posted $7,500 bond.

The Washington Examiner noted that while Boucher’s lawyer claims the attack was not political in nature, “Social media posts from Boucher show that he is aggressively anti-Trump and anti-Republican.”

The New York Times suggested that the dispute was due to a feud over landscaping, however Paul and his neighbors have cast serious doubts over those claims.

Fox News reported:

In an interview with Fox News, Paul’s neighbor of 17 years, Dan Renshaw, a local car dealer in Bowling Green, was dismissive of reports that the incident stemmed from anything having to do with "lawn clippings," given the severity of the attack. He said U.S. Capitol Police have been to the neighborhood, signaling an intensifying local and federal investigation into last week’s incident.

Further, Renshaw said his son-in-law — who sits on a neighborhood board — told him there's never been any reports of conflicts between the two men or any report of trouble from the alleged attacker.
Paul confirmed to the Washington Examiner that he has had little to no interaction with Boucher.

“My first encounter was basically being hit in the back,” Paul said. “We’ve never had words over anything, we’ve never had a dispute or discussion or words.”

“Really if you told me he was doing it for some noble cause to feed starving children somewhere, there is no motive,” Paul continued. “There is no motive that would justify hitting somebody from behind and breaking their ribs and damaging their lungs, so no, there is no justification for something like that.”

I bet Boucher just wishes he could claim he was doing something good by attacking Paul. He won't be getting any speaking engagements like the lady that flipped the President's motorcade off did. Nope, he has to keep his pie hole shut about it. Ha ha dumbass leftist nut job.

That was redundant. I challenge you to point out a leftist that isn't a dumbass nut job.
I could try to save face and claim that was meant to be a single assessment but will concede you have a point. Just that some are more unhinged than others.

Hmmmmm...strange huh? Seems to me a fitting punishment might be to let Paul choose a politician of his choice and require neighbor boy to break their ribs also.

Just sayin...
