Another important impact that the overturning of Roe versus Wade will have is that the artificial right to privacy conjured out of thin air by SCOTUS in the original decision will also be overturned. This will have a ripple effect on a multitude of cases that the courts, high and low, arbitrarily applied to other decisions impacting everything from illicit drug usage to financial transactions to whatever the courts applied Roe Vs. Wade to. It got applied to a lot of stuff.

After that start thinking about the impact on the regulatory statutes that are based on Roe Vs. Wade. This is a tectonic shift in legal land that will adversely impact those deep blue states that have broadly applied RvW to nearly everything.

Overturning Roe v Wade won't abolish abortion like many would like everyone to think. It will return the issue to the states (where it should be).

And if you are honest, you will know the situation you describe doesn't account for any significant percentage of the mass murders currently taking place in this country. However, when those cases do happen, people wanting to abort will be free to travel to a state where it is legal. It will always be legal in California and New York. Prior to Roe v Wade, abortion was legal in 20 states. This country is not nearly as conservative as it once was so you can probably count on abortion being legal in more than 20 states after Roe v Wade is overturned.

And no, the rapist doesn't need to have parental rights.
32 states allow for the termination of parental rights of perpetrators of sexual assault who conceive a child as a result.

I’ve seen different numbers from different studies but it’s the “7.5%” in the red category that I think we are talking about. The 92.5% discretionary/lifestyle rational would stop a lot of death and an easier argument to win

I didn't propose any such thing. I said abortion will always be available if you want to go that route. If you take your child to California for an abortion, the state you live in is not going to charge your child with anything. Nobody broke the law. If you want an abortion, go to one of multiple states that offer them.

Many people throw out the instance of rape as an argument while they know full well most abortions in this country are not due to any such situation.

My point was that with this case being overturned, such a scenario would result in the pregnant woman being charged with homicide in some states.

I have no issue with a father stepping up and taking responsibility for the child to raising the child. Even if "mom' and her family want nothing to do with the offspring. Time heals all wounds and the "mom' may come around sooner or later. Relationships can be mended.

PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia abortion doctor was sentenced Wednesday to a third life term for killing an aborted baby that he described as so big it could "walk to the bus."

Dr. Kermit Gosnell was convicted this week of first-degree murder in the deaths of three babies born alive, then stabbed with scissors. He was given two life sentences Tuesday in a deal with prosecutors that spared him a potential death sentence, and the third sentence was handed down Wednesday.

The Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams released a statement Wednesday afternoon calling the case "arguably the most gruesome" he's seen.

"I will not mince words, Kermit Gosnell is a monster. Any doctor who cuts into the necks severing the spinal cords of living, breathing babies, who would survive with proper medical attention, is a murderer and a monster."

Gosnell was also sentenced to 2 1/2 to five years in prison for the 2009 overdose death of a patient. The sentences are consecutive, meaning Gosnell, 72, will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The case has made Gosnell a flashpoint in the nation's bitter debate over legalized abortion.

Prosecutors argued that Gosnell savagely killed late-term babies born alive by severing their spines, and taught several staff members the technique. Nine former clinic workers were convicted in the case, and four others pleaded guilty to murder.

Despite the notoriety of the case, Gosnell has seemed oddly serene in court during the two-month trial, and apparently sees himself as a medical pioneer and tireless advocate for inner-city patients.

"I wanted to be an effective, positive force in the minority community," Gosnell told The Philadelphia Daily News in a 2010 interview, when he predicted he would be "vindicated" of the allegations in a harrowing grand jury report. He chose not to address the judge during Wednesday's sentencing.

But prosecutors said he grew increasingly reckless as he accumulated millions of dollars from his rogue clinic, which was described as a "pill mill" for addicts by day and an "abortion mill" by night.

The jury spent 10 days deliberating before finding that Gosnell had killed babies or had them killed. And the jury found him complicit in the death of the 41-year-old patient, a Virginia woman who was repeatedly sedated by his untrained medical assistants.

Gosnell was also convicted of hundreds of abortion law violations for performing illegal, third-term abortions or failing to counsel women and teens. Gosnell was acquitted in the deaths of four other infants.

Prosecutors have declined to comment on the verdict, citing a gag order that was expected to be lifted Wednesday when Gosnell's sentence is finalized.

Prosecutors had planned to seek the death penalty because Gosnell killed more than one person and his victims were especially vulnerable given their age. But Gosnell's own advanced age had made it unlikely he would ever be executed before his appeals ran out.

Gosnell's lawyer, Jack McMahon, said his client accepts the verdict and isn't sorry he went to trial. He said Gosnell gave up a somewhat better deal early on but wanted to air the issues in court and is satisfied that he did so.

"He wanted this case aired out in a courtroom and it got aired out in a courtroom in a fair way. And now he's accepting what will happen. He's an intelligent guy," said McMahon, who said Gosnell would now plead to federal drug charges that are still pending.

The sentencing deal, reached after hours of terse negotiations Tuesday, spares Gosnell's family the task of pleading for his life in court, McMahon said. Gosnell has six children, the youngest of them a teenager born to his third wife, who has also pleaded guilty in the case.

"He's a proud man. To bring his young family into court was something he did not want to do," McMahon said.

A 2011 grand jury investigation into Gosnell's alleged prescription drug trafficking led to the gruesome findings about his abortion clinic. During an FBI raid, authorities found 47 aborted fetuses stored in clinic freezers, jars of tiny severed feet, bloodstained furniture and dirty medical instruments, along with cats roaming the premises.

Prosecution experts said the Delaware teen carrying Baby A, whose death Gosnell was sentenced in Wednesday, was nearly 30 weeks pregnant when Gosnell aborted her fetus. A second baby was said to be alive for about 20 minutes before a clinic worker snipped the neck. A third was born in a toilet and was moving before another clinic employee severed the spinal cord, according to testimony.

A fourth baby let out a whimper before Gosnell cut the neck, prosecutors alleged. Gosnell was acquitted in that baby's death, the only one of the four in which no one testified to seeing the baby killed.

McMahon has argued that none of the fetuses was born alive and that any movements were posthumous twitching or spasms.

During his trial, former employees of Gosnell's rundown west Philadelphia clinic testified that he performed or tried to perform abortions beyond Pennsylvania's 24-week gestation limit. Some procedures resulted in the birth of babies who appeared to be moving, breathing and in one case, according to former employee Ashley Baldwin, "screeching."
In his summation before more than a week of jury deliberation, Assistant District Attorney Edward Cameron said Gosnell didn't care about his patients or their babies and "adopted a Henry Ford way of doing business: He created an assembly line. … My dog was treated better than he treated these babies and women."
The karmic retribution will be severe.

As an exercise in thought, let's ask ourselves, "What if one of the unborn babies was destined to be an important person in society? What if that person was to discover a life-saving cure for a currently incurable disease?

Since it's life was ended just as it started what are the implications of its tragic death and how it will impact people in the future?

What if his discovered cure healed someone who in turn was also somebody who was destined to make a profound and positive impact on society? Now, following our hypothetical example, the fate of just these two people can severely, negatively impact the entire human civilization. All because of that one abortion.

That's only using the example of one or two people. If scaled to a more accurate number of thousands or even millions of people, it shouldn't be hard to see that the taking of someone's life is extremely serious with profound implications.

That's why killing a life is taken so seriously. The profound implications of harming or killing may not be observable to the layman but with some critical thinking and an empathetic heart I think anybody can reasonably understand why it is such a sin to take a life without good reason and how distressed the effects will be to the people connected... Which ultimately is all of us.

Because nobody has made it an issue that draws attention.
Some states require motorcyclist helmets others don't.
Un-married fathers end up enforcing their rights in a court of law and a judge.

OBTW: The female republican candidate for PA Senate seat is the product of a rape. Her mother is only 11 years older than her.

As protesters continue to ‘walk by’ homes of some U.S. Supreme Court justices in protest of their previous decision to side with overturning Roe v. Wade, Attorney General Merrick Garland is finally acting.

After days of such protests, which are reportedly against federal law, Garland has ordered the U.S. Marshals Service to boost security at the home of those justices being targeted by left-wing pro-abortion groups and individuals.

“Attorney General Garland continues to be briefed on security matters related to the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Justices. The Attorney General directed the U.S. Marshals Service to help ensure the Justices’ safety by providing additional support to the Marshal of the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Police,” the Justice Department announced on Wednesday.

The Washington Examiner noted that it’s not clear what types of security measures are going to be implemented, adding:

The move comes amid a bevy of protests outside several Justices’ homes demanding the court reverse course and keep abortion rights enshrined in the high court’s interpretation of the Constitution.

The sentencing deal, reached after hours of terse negotiations Tuesday, spares Gosnell's family the task of pleading for his life in court, McMahon said. Gosnell has six children, the youngest of them a teenager born to his third wife, who has also pleaded guilty in the case.

"He's a proud man. To bring his young family into court was something he did not want to do," McMahon said.

A 2011 grand jury investigation into Gosnell's alleged prescription drug trafficking led to the gruesome findings about his abortion clinic. During an FBI raid, authorities found 47 aborted fetuses stored in clinic freezers, jars of tiny severed feet, bloodstained furniture and dirty medical instruments, along with cats roaming the premises.

Prosecution experts said the Delaware teen carrying Baby A, whose death Gosnell was sentenced in Wednesday, was nearly 30 weeks pregnant when Gosnell aborted her fetus. A second baby was said to be alive for about 20 minutes before a clinic worker snipped the neck. A third was born in a toilet and was moving before another clinic employee severed the spinal cord, according to testimony.

A fourth baby let out a whimper before Gosnell cut the neck, prosecutors alleged. Gosnell was acquitted in that baby's death, the only one of the four in which no one testified to seeing the baby killed.

McMahon has argued that none of the fetuses was born alive and that any movements were posthumous twitching or spasms.

Clarence Thomas Says ‘Tremendously Bad’ Abortion Draft Leak Changed the Supreme Court ‘Forever’​

A draft decision leaked from the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this month has fundamentally altered the judicial body, potentially doing irreparable damage, Justice Clarence Thomas said during a conference in Dallas Friday evening.

“I do think that what happened at the court is tremendously bad… I wonder how long we’re going to have these institutions at the rate we’re undermining them,” Thomas said at the Old Parkland Conference.

The leak — not the decision’s potential implication of overturning Roe v. Wade — has potentially done irreparable harm to people’s trust in the institution, the veteran justice said.

“When you lose that trust, especially in the institution that I’m in, it changes the institution fundamentally. You begin to look over your shoulder. It’s like kind of an infidelity that you can explain it, but you can’t undo it,” Thomas added.

The high court’s secrecy has been an integral part of the judicial process, allowing justices to deliberate free of outside pressures, he added, noting the members of the court did not think such a leak could even occur.

“Oh, that’s impossible. No one would ever do that,” he said, theorizing how people thought of the Supreme Court’s exclusivity prior to the leak.

“Now that trust or that belief is gone forever,” Thomas claimed.

Thomas also suggested there has been a recent trend to undermine the Supreme Court, challenging its integrity and impartialness — and a new phenomenon of citizens showing up to members’ homes and holding them personally responsible.

The justice said, however, the trend was among liberals and that conservatives have not acted in this way.

“You would never visit Supreme Court justices’ houses when things didn’t go our way. We didn’t throw temper tantrums. I think it is … incumbent on us to always act appropriately and not to repay tit-for-tat,” Thomas said.

Nice story Clarence but we know the SCOTUS has been compromised for quite some time, and so do you! Your current Chief Justice is only one example of it!!
