So much is wrong with this story, especially the media blackout.

Santa costume.

VERY exclusive club in the European sector.

700 partiers.

IMO, it was an assassination with sufficient collateral damage to assist the true assailant(s) with an escape.

“Unfortunately (he) rained bullets in a very cruel and merciless way on innocent people who were there to celebrate New Year’s and have fun,” Sahin told reporters.

Private NTV news channel said the assailant entered the Reina nightclub, in Istanbul’s Ortakoy district, dressed in a Santa Claus outfit.

Some customers jumped into the waters of the Bosporus to escape the attack, the report said. NTV television said some of the wounded were foreign nationals, without citing their nationalities.

But no Santa Suit, apparently.

One video shows the shooter dressed all in black entering the club.

Later footage shows the shooter dressed all in white after shedding layers of clothing.

Yelling Alluh Snakbar and all that too.

And the shooter got away.

Probably jumped into the river with the others.

The Bosphorus is the body of water which separates Europe from Asia.

39 dead now.

If you're stupid enough to be partying in Istanbul with all the trouble over there, sorry, but you deserve to be shot.

With that logic, if you are stupid enough to drive a car, you deserve to die.

Blaming the victims accomplishes nothing.
Reading an emotive story about a nightclub slaughter half a world away accomplishes nothing either. Next door in Syria tens of thousands of innocents have been murdered by the civil war raging there, but it seems the average person doesn't care about them. But let a one Syrian puppy dog get thrown off a hi-rise and the western world will be up in arms.

What you care about I couldn't care less about.

That same could be said for Chicago, Detroit and most other US progressive infested cities.
Yes, and that's probably why many allowed themselves to be in a dangerous place at a dangerous time, they have been desensitized to danger.

Crowded Night clubs, Crowded shopping malls, Crowded university grounds, all these are targets for nut-jobs and terrorists now. If you frequent such places you should be aware that you might get shot in the head, simple as that. I had to get things from a large shopping center 2 weeks ago and I purposely went just as it opened, primarily to avoid the crowds. Not that we see many of these types of massacres in Oz but it makes sense to be ahead of the curve. I never read about one where the gun-person cut loose at opening time have you?

Someone will pipe up and say "But certain people have to be in these places when there crowded because their job is there!"
Fair enough, then they should keep ID on their person, just in case they are shot in the head.

That's rubbish. Why don't you put your feelings aside and use your brain to think before you reply to posts. There were plenty of people in Syrian library's that night that weren't at risk weren't there?
Turkey is the cradle of Islam and Islam is against alcohol and certainly against western style nightclubs which are meeting grounds for alcohol consumption and what they deem immoral sexual liaisons. Going there with all the radial Islamic terrorism across the world is like speeding down the M1 motorway in thick fog.

There are tough times coming and unless some of you lot grow some balls you will end up in a meat grinder.

I wish I could change the thread title, but alas, it appears that the early reports of Santa with a gun are false; or are they?
