Sadly, I think you are about right.
Any GDP so-called "gain" has been because of FedGov spending created digits.

I guess that is why they keep having to up the spending, the more they spend the less effective it is in uping the GDP. Not sure I am saying it right, but I think you can get it.

Fraction fiat loaned at interest then derivatives into oblivion.
The exponentially growing debt that cannot be serviced without massive immigration add in unfunded liabilities and tapped out debt consumers and corporations that live off borrowed money and full speed ahead in iceberg infested waters.
