.999 generic silver. Ratio is right and you don't become attached to it so you can trade for gold when the ratio goes in your favor.
Already have the tab open for that. That was my instinct go to. Thanks bro.

Well {L] this is easy. Ya find some nude/semi nude rounds or bars so that while you are fondling them ya still make coin.

Check out the 2019 Kookaburra from Perth Mint. Got a 10 ouncer in the mail the other day and the finish is exquisite...pictures and artists renderings do it little justice. Multiple finishes on the same surface. The sky background is "frosted," the sun, water, and log are various "matte" finishes, the plant, water ripples and border are shiny and proof-like. The bird is the best of all, it's almost high-relief with tremendous detail with an antique-like finish that almost doesn't even look like silber.

I need to get at least 1 more of these so I have a pair. The 10 oz would cost you ~$3 over spot, the 1 oz ~$4 over spot if you shop around for the best price. The kilo size is lower premium but over your budget, but that coin must be amazing if it's finish is of the same quality as the 10oz. A semi-numi, moderate-premium, low-mintage coin with potential big upside based on previous issues...cant go wrong with this one IMHO.

Some pricing info on previous releases:

Good idea. I threw a few Marilyn rounds in the lake some years back.

I'm a HUGE Perth lunar fan. Have some 10's in Dragon I &II, snake, Kookaburas etc. The 1 oz kooks do well too. I've got a few years of those. . I've bragged before about how the Perth Roos netted me $120 per oz Ag selling to APMEX when I needed a downpayment on a house in 2015. BIG Perth mint fan now.

Agreed, Perth Mint quality is arguably second to none on many of their silber issues, even if some of the lunar designs leave something to be desired. The kooks and most of the lunars have done really well in the secondary market as relatively low mintage issues. I had a small stack of 10oz kooks and lunar dragons, snakes, roosters etc. until the boating accident...feck. Good luck out there.

The first Lunar series I liked a lot. The 2nd not so much. I do remember someone here talking about it though and I need up buying all the dragons and many other that I could get my hands on. They did pretty well. the 2 oz year of the oz did especially well. :)

I have been bullionizing these: https://monumentmetals.com/2018-australia-2-oz-piedfort-next-generation-series-silver-koala-bu.html
$2+/oz over spot, 75,000 minted Perth coin.
Easier to sell with premium when Ag down... again compared to rounds.
I am selling older Perth and gaining weight with younglings.
Hope you score.

Currently, I think just sitting on dry powder is the right choice.
I could be wrong. Just saying.
Looking around, this looks like a fair deal, although I'm not sure Provident can be fully trusted.
See Tom D's thread about Provident delays in shipping items.
If I was buying right now, I think I'd be looking at my LCS for a deal.
Things are too roller coaster right now for me.
I'm sort of expecting a price crash on the metals, based on nothing but mis-trust.
Guess I'm a 'glass is half empty' type *shrugs*

I missed the $14 mark and now have dry powder to convert. $500 bills doesn't mean squat on this "roller coaster" and I need something to fondle. : )

I hear you.
Where's Louky at?
He's gotta have a line on some metal at a decent price.
I only have 4-5 online dealers I sort of trust.
My LCS is a little thin on deals with the price being so volatile.
I don't play the ebay bucks game.

Here is how I expect things to play out.
*Don't take this as investment advice - only my own wild a** guess*
Stock market went up 700+ points today.
Big swings plus and minus being the current rage.
So, what if we have a big drop, like 1500 points or so.
Bring on the margin calls, and all those hedge funds that have been looking for safety in metal say "oops, time to sell".
Spot drops back down to 1225 or so gold, 14.50 silver.
There's your buy point.
You want something to fondle? Pull out something you already have :)
I don't think the powers that be have lost control .....yet.
I am a 'glass is half empty' person though.
